How POTASSIUM CHLORIDE 0.037% IN DEXTROSE 10% AND SODIUM CHLORIDE 0.9% IN PLASTIC CONTAINER Works

The solution works by binding to free calcium in the blood, which is a necessary component for the clotting process to function. Without available calcium, the blood cannot form clots while it is being processed in a device. It also includes dextrose to ensure the solution is isotonic and citric acid to help regulate the pH level.
