How SEPTOCAINE Works

This drug works by blocking the generation and conduction of nerve impulses, which raises the threshold for electrical excitation and slows the movement of the signal. The addition of epinephrine acts as a vasoconstrictor, which slows the drug's absorption into the bloodstream to keep the anesthetic active in the tissue for a longer period.
