ZINGO (lidocaine hydrochloride)
Zingo is an amide local anesthetic indicated for use on intact skin to provide local analgesia prior to venipuncture or peripheral intravenous cannulation in children (3–18 years of age) and prior to venipuncture in adults. It is for external use only and must be applied to intact skin.
How ZINGO Works
Zingo works by delivering lidocaine hydrochloride into the dermis. As an amide-type local anesthetic, lidocaine blocks sodium ion channels required for the initiation and conduction of neuronal impulses, resulting in local anesthesia at the application site.
