How CARDURA XL Works

This medication works by selectively blocking alpha 1 adrenergic receptors, which are found in high density within the prostate and bladder neck. By inhibiting these receptors, the drug reduces smooth muscle tone and decreases urethral resistance. This action helps improve urine flow and relieves the symptoms caused by the dynamic component of the condition.
