How DIFLUPREDNATE Works

Difluprednate acts by inducing phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins, collectively known as lipocortins. These proteins control the biosynthesis of potent inflammatory mediators, such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes, by inhibiting the release of their common precursor, arachidonic acid, from membrane phospholipids.
