FLEQSUVY (baclofen)

GABA A Agonists
CNS Approved 2022-02-04

FLEQSUVY is indicated for the treatment of Spasticity; Multiple Sclerosis; Spinal Cord Injuries; Spinal Cord Disease.

Source: FDA Label • AZURITY • gamma-Aminobutyric Acid-ergic Agonist

How FLEQSUVY Works

FLEQSUVY acts as a structural analog of the inhibitory neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and likely exerts its effects by stimulating the GABA B receptor subtype. The drug inhibits both monosynaptic and polysynaptic reflexes at the spinal level, possibly by decreasing the release of excitatory neurotransmitters from afferent terminals. While the precise mechanism is not fully understood, actions at supraspinal sites may also contribute to the clinical reduction of spasticity.
