How ZORYVE Works

Roflumilast and its active metabolite work by blocking phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4), an enzyme responsible for breaking down cyclic AMP. This inhibition leads to an accumulation of cyclic AMP within the cells. Although the exact process for how this improves skin symptoms is not fully defined, this cellular buildup is the drug's primary action.
