ADZENYS XR-ODT (amphetamine)
ADZENYS XR-ODT is indicated for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
How ADZENYS XR-ODT Works
While the exact therapeutic mode of action in ADHD is unknown, amphetamines are thought to block the reuptake of norepinephrine and dopamine into the presynaptic neuron and increase the release of these monoamines into the extraneuronal space. As non-catecholamine sympathomimetic amines, they exert stimulant activity on the central nervous system to provide therapeutic effects.
