How CEFEPIME HYDROCHLORIDE Works
Cefepime is a bactericidal agent that acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It exerts its effect by binding to one or more penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), which inhibits the final transpeptidation step of peptidoglycan synthesis in bacterial cell walls, ultimately leading to cell lysis.
