How CLARITHROMYCIN Works

Clarithromycin is a macrolide antimicrobial that exerts its effect by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of susceptible bacteria. This action inhibits RNA-dependent protein synthesis, thereby preventing bacterial growth and replication.
