How MEROPENEM AND SODIUM CHLORIDE IN DUPLEX CONTAINER Works

Meropenem is a bactericidal agent that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis. It penetrates the cell wall of most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria to bind with high affinity to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs). By binding to these targets, meropenem interferes with the transpeptidation of peptidoglycan chains, leading to cell wall instability and subsequent bacterial cell lysis.
