NEXESTA FE (ethinyl estradiol)
Nexesta Fe is a progestin/estrogen combination oral contraceptive (COC) containing norethindrone acetate and ethinyl estradiol, with ferrous fumarate. It is indicated for use by females of reproductive potential to prevent pregnancy.
How NEXESTA FE Works
Nexesta Fe prevents pregnancy primarily by suppressing ovulation. Secondary mechanisms include increasing cervical mucus viscosity to inhibit sperm penetration and inducing endometrial changes that reduce the likelihood of implantation.
