BYSTOLIC (nebivolol hydrochloride)
BYSTOLIC is indicated for the treatment of Hypertension; Stroke; Myocardial Infarction.
How BYSTOLIC Works
The mechanism of action for the antihypertensive response of Bystolic has not been definitively established. Possible contributing factors include a decrease in heart rate and myocardial contractility, suppression of renin activity, and vasodilation resulting in decreased peripheral vascular resistance. Additionally, it may involve the diminution of tonic sympathetic outflow to the periphery from cerebral vasomotor centers.
