QAMZOVA (meloxicam)

Cyclooxygenase Inhibitors
Pain Approved 2025-04-22

Qamzova is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to help adults manage moderate-to-severe pain. It can be used as a standalone therapy or in combination with other non-NSAID pain relievers. Because the medication has a delayed onset, it is not recommended for patients who require immediate relief from their symptoms.

How QAMZOVA Works

This medication works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), which are responsible for producing prostaglandins. By decreasing the levels of these prostaglandins in peripheral tissues, the drug reduces inflammation and prevents the sensitization of nerves that typically leads to pain.
